Field Trip #1 in and around Hanover

On September 30, 2015 and back-to-back to the International Conference on Climate Action (ICCA2015), a delegation of selected Polish municipality representatives was invited to a one-day field trip to learn more about low-emission projects and strategies in the region Hanover.

The study tour showcased best-practice examples and innovative technologies currently at hand in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energies and sustainable urban planning. This included a presentation by the Region Hanover on its 100% Climate Protection Masterplan, as well as visits to the Energy and Environment Center, the model district Kronsberg, and to the energy cooperative Lehrte-Sehnde.
